FAQS
Of course you understand your products and services better than any outside company but this expansion is possibly taking you into territory that you have very little or even no knowledge. Without the right guidance and direction you could expose your business bottom line with unknown and unexpected costs. Doing business in Asia is not the same as doing business in Europe or the USA.
Why should we use you instead of hiring our own International expert?
If you already have a reasonably sound European business and need to expand to Asia then you may be better hiring your own International Manager who knows Asia but we believe we can get you there quicker. However, if this is a new venture for you and not sure it will succeed then you should consider using outside help to get the business off the ground. Hiring an International expert is expensive and when one considers the recruitment costs and the burdened costs of OTE, car allowance, IT, NI, Pension and other perks it will run into hundreds of thousands of pounds each year. We can more than halve those costs.
We will sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement with you – this will legally bind both parties. We don’t want you disclosing our IPR and vice-versa. Our business thrives on confidentiality as we are sure your does also so it is in all our interests to be circumspect with information we have.
UKTI and their various groups do indeed provide some excellent benefits and we would encourage you to take advantage of their services. We can work with UKTI for you to get the grants and funding they provide. However, their help and advise assumes you are committed to this expansion and have got the people in place to take advantage of their services and can dedicate staff and time for this. We have found in reality that it is normally the senior management, either CEO or Sales Director that has the desire to expand Internationally but indeed does not have the right staff on board to follow through with UKTI help. Furthermore, if they try and do this themselves it distracts them from their main home base activities – it is not good to be at the other side of the world with an 8 hour time difference when you get a problem back home that needs sorting! You don’t close business or conclude contracts on one or two meetings and that is if you can handle the cultural barriers. We bridge the gap, understand how to conduct meetings and get the International business off the ground and then help you put in your own team – think of us as a temporary solution if you like.
We concentrate mainly on the Far East and have in depth experience and very well established contacts or members living in Japan, South Korea, China including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines. We also have European members in Benelux, Italy, Germany, USA members located in North America and Canada and members in Southern Africa.
